Odia Film Festival – 2011

IPROCH has successfully organized at a grand scale a three day film festival (Brochure is enclosed) in commemoration of the 75th year of the Odia Film in collaboration with Directorate of Film Festival, M/O I&B, Govt. of India from 15th -17th April, 2011 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India also provided with the financial assistance of about Rs. 5 lakhs. The three day film festival was attended by eminent film personalities, critics and discerning audience amongst 3000 audiences. The Hon’ble Minister Smt. Ambika Soni, Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India, Hon’ble Minister Shri Srikant Jena, Minister of State Chemicals and fertilizer, Govt. of India along with Governor of Orissa His Excellency Shri M. C. Bhandare. This Film Festival was widely covered both by print and electronic media. Doordarshan also televised the programme during its prime time. The objective of the Institute to ensure wide circulation about the awareness of the programme and its content was duly achieved and according to the I&B Ministry officials, the programme despite being a regional one was a huge success.
